The Cabins

There are seventeen rustic cottages to choose from for your relaxing restorative vacation at our twelve acre resort. Nine of our vintage cabins are situated under stately redwoods and overlook the Big Sur River where guests particularly enjoy being lulled to sleep by the sound of the river. 

Other cabins have mountain, forest and meadow views where deer are frequently seen. The kitchens in our twelve housekeeping cabins are equipped with ovens/stovetops, refrigerators, toasters and basic cookware/utensils. Housekeeping cabins also have decks or picnic yard with a fire ring.  A number of our cabins have indoor wood burning fireplaces for which a bundle of firewood is provided daily. Coffee makers and bathroom amenities are in all units. Daily housekeeping service is provided. 

All guests may walk the lanes on the resort grounds and have access to the swimming hole, a favorite place for families to spend their summer afternoons. Camp chairs are recommended for relaxing on the gravelly beach by the Big Sur River.  Complimentary hot coffee is available to our cabin guests at the store/front desk.

Reception desk is open  8:00 am – 8:00 pm.

Ripplewood Café serves American and authentic Mexican food for breakfast, brunch and lunch, in the dining room, or on our sunny garden patio. The cafe offers free Wi-Fi access and is open from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM.  We offer espresso as well as bottomless cups of regular French Roast coffee.
